HP Laser MFP 137fnw - 'We're sorry, something went wrong' error (EBS00P0004)

HP Laser MFP 137fnw - 'We're sorry, something went wrong' error (EBS00P0004)

During setup of your HP printer, a We're sorry, something went wrong error with code EBS00P0004 displays in the HP Smart app.

This issue occurs when two or more devices are connected to the same mobile router using Wi-Fi. The privacy separator feature of the mobile router prevents devices from communicating with each other. Because of this, the computer or mobile device cannot communicate with the printer.

Resolve error EBS00P0004

Disable the privacy separator feature to complete the setup and print, or use one of the following workarounds to print.

  • Temporarily disable the privacy separator feature in the mobile router, complete the setup, and then print.

    NOTE:

Alternative names for privacy separator can be Client isolation, AP isolation, or Intra-BSS communication.

After the setup completes, re-enable the privacy separator feature.

  • Perform one of the following workarounds:

    • Use the Wi-Fi Direct feature to print.

    • Use a USB cable connection to print.
